About Us
I’ve been gardening since I was two years old, when my mom put me to work smashing up chunks of our hard, clay, Seattle soil. The Japanese maple we planted back then now towers over my childhood home, and I’ve been playing in the dirt ever since. For many summers, I strapped a bag of garden tools to the back of my bike and rode around the city, helping neighbors keep up their yards. After graduating from The Evergreen State College in 2020, I decided to turn my summer side hustle into a full time operation. I got licensed, bought a truck, and Rose Bros. has been going strong ever since!
I’m grateful to have learned from dozens of talented gardeners over the course of my career. I’ve learned almost as much from my own mistakes–I’ll be forever grateful to my mother for letting me “learn to prune” on her beleaguered trees and shrubs. Since 2022, I’ve been a certified King County Master Gardener, volunteering my time to provide informed garden advice to home gardeners throughout the area. I also volunteer with Ronald McDonald House of Western Washington, helping to maintain the landscape at their NE Seattle campus.
My passion is helping people create outdoor spaces that spark joy, even in our dreary Seattle winters. You deserve a yard that suits your needs, not one that fills you with dread every time you look out the window. Whether you have sprawling acreage or a tiny townhouse courtyard, I can help make your space beautiful, functional, and all your own. Check out my work, and if you like what you see, give me a holler. I’d be delighted to hear from you!
